Working as a Senior Gameplay Programmer in a large-scale team on an AAA project, you’ll be closely collaborating with Programmers, Designers, and Artists, as you play a pivotal role in bringing the project's vision to life. Your primary responsibility will be to implement captivating gameplay features, ensuring a perfect balance between fun and performance optimisation. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to guide, mentor, and collaborate with a talented group of programmers, while working alongside production to consistently deliver quality work on time. REQUIREMENTS: Extensive Unreal Engine experience. Understanding the importance of efficient networking in a multiplayer game. Strong grasp of C++, software design, programming and debugging. Have a strong grasp of 3D maths for games. A desire to craft multiplayer games. RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and architect implementations for complex gameplay systems. Implement new gameplay features and modes. Iterate on existing features and mechanics. Write extensible, stable, efficient code. Strive for constant self-improvement. Mentor Junior and Mid-level members of the team and help others learn. Be considerate with planning, documentation, and communication. Take ownership and act as a driving force for your features. Oversee multiple feature sets and areas of gameplay and ensure their delivery. Work closely with Designers to build gameplay features, taking balancing and developer interaction into account. DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Experience programming multiplayer games in Unreal Engine 4. Developed an understanding of a broad range of gameplay systems and architecture.
