Job Description:

As a part of the first group of hires for our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, implementing, and maintaining the various components and features of our platform to ensure its effectiveness, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with UX/UI, machine learning, and data teams to design, develop, and deploy features and enhancements for our application.
• Implement algorithms and machine learning models to analyze data, provide personalized recommendations, and improve user experience.
• Develop backend services and APIs to support the app's functionality and data management requirements.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services for additional functionalities, such as telehealth, appointment scheduling, and data analytics.
• Ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of the app with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
• Release reliable and security tested code, written with security-by-design principles
• Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and optimize app performance for a seamless user experience.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends to continuously enhance the app's capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 3 – 10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on building scalable mobile applications for iOS and Android
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript or Java.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Basic understanding of deep learning architectures, model training, retrieval augmented generation, hyperparameter tuning, and evaluation methodologies.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database systems.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
• Knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and compliance regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, PHIPA) is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with implementing and deploying machine learning and RAG frameworks for user-facing applications.
• Able to handle critical feedback in many forms and think creatively
• Comfortable with working in an aggressive, fast-paced start-up environment 

Important Information: 

The maximum starting salary for this position is 350,000PKR per month. The minimum starting salary is 175,000PKR per month. All employees at all salary levels qualify for vesting equity options after 12 months with the company.  

Please note, at the maximum salary level – we expect you to better than the best of the best. Kindly keep this in mind when submitting your salary expectations. 

 We do not guarantee you will receive this as your salary offer upon hiring. 

There are a total of 7 available positions with varying seniority levels depending on your qualifications. 

This position requires you to be in Lahore, Pakistan or be willing to relocate within 45 days of starting. Relocation packages may be offered contingent of quality of talent. 

The start date for this position is June 1^st, 2024.
