Company: My client, a proprietary High-Frequency Trading (HFT) firm based in Central Hong Kong, has been a leader in the HFT industry for over 20 years. With a team of 15-20 professionals from around the world (Australia, UK, India, China, Hong Kong, and Russia), the firm fosters an easygoing, self-directed culture where autonomy is encouraged, and micromanagement is non-existent. The team includes both engineers and traders with diverse backgrounds, creating a dynamic and multicultural workspace, united by a shared passion for fast-paced trading. They are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join their growing team.

Role: In this role, you'll be architecting, developing, testing, and deploying ultra-low-latency trading systems that operate down to the nanosecond. You’ll handle day-to-day operations, support, and troubleshooting, all while working with cutting-edge, high-end technologies. Your input will be valued alongside traders and engineers as you help shape key decisions. You'll be involved in messaging with exchanges and integrating systems into the bigger trading picture, building order management systems that react quickly to market movements. Additionally, you'll develop FPGA-based solutions using HDL or Verilog, collaborating closely with a talented team of 4 other C++ Software Engineer and 2 Senior Sys Admins.

This role requires you to be on-site 5 days a week, which is what the rest of the team is doing.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in C++ and Linux
• Experience at any seniority level will be considered
• Fluency in English

Nice to have:

• Prior experience as Software Engineer in a similar role
• Financial services experience
• Knowledge of Python
• Experience working on FPGAs (HDL or Verilog)
