Responsibilities 

- You're our perfect candidate IF:  

- You have a degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. 

- You have experience (Sr level) in: 

Technical Skills 

  • Cloud Expertise (AWS and Azure): 
  • Experience using AWS for storage, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and data analysis. 
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics for managing large-scale data processing and reporting. 
  • Familiarity with hybrid environments involving both AWS and Azure platforms. 

ETL Tools: 

  • Experience with ETL tools to automate data workflows and standardization. 

Data Modeling: 

  • Strong knowledge of data modeling (both relational and non-relational) to optimize the structure of historical databases. 
  • Experience in designing database schemas to enhance access to historical data. 

Programming Languages: 

  • Experience in Python and SQL for data processing, with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark. 
  • Familiarity with R or Matlab for statistical analysis is a plus. 

Handling Large Data Sets: 

  • Expertise in Big Data tools like Apache Spark or Hadoop for large-scale data restructuring. 
  • Experience with distributed and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or Amazon DynamoDB. 
  • Data Visualization: 
  • Experience in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or AWS QuickSight to create dashboards and historical reports that support decision-making. 

Data Management Best Practices: 

  • Knowledge of data quality standards, data cleansing, and validation practices. 
  • Familiarity with data governance and data lineage to ensure that historical data is well-documented and accessible. 

Additional Desired Skills 

  • Certifications in AWS or Azure (such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate). 
  • Strong communication skills to translate technical insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical teams. 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. 

 

- BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar 

- Database technologies: SQL, MySQL, Non-SQL 

- Data manipulation and visualization: Python (Pandas, Matplotlib), R 

- Cloud environments: AWS, Azure 

- You are fluent in English and Spanish. 

- You have strong communication skills and a keen ability to translate data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. 

- You have excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. 

- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting. 

- You have experience working with data models, developing reports, and conducting deep analysis. 

- You have experience in restructuring historical databases, standardizing data, and creating reports that optimize business processes. 

- You are comfortable designing and conducting surveys to collect valuable feedback from students, families, and staff. 

   

Key Tasks   

- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to provide insights that support key decisions. 

- Build and maintain dashboards to visualize key metrics related to school operations, student performance, and satisfaction surveys. 

- Design and analyze surveys targeting different segments of our community (students, families, staff) to drive continuous improvement. 

- Collaborate with other departments to align data analysis with the overall goals of the institution. 

- Support the leadership team with predictive models to forecast future trends and optimize strategic planning. 

- Continuously improve the data infrastructure and processes to support scalability as Genuine School grows. 

- Reports and analysis, drives the continuous improvement plan through the reports requested, adhering to the reporting schedule, enhancing data collection quality, and improving implementation and analysis processes
