Senior Golang Developer - Relocate to the UAE


Stack: Golang, Kubernetes (on prem), SQL, Linux

Contract Type: Employment

A well-known European powerhouse has touched down in the UAE and, now that they have boots on the ground, are looking to grow out their software engineering team.


They are looking for talented engineers with proven experience of building robust a reliable software, as well as having experience with Golang as a language. The aim of the game is reliability and performance. Hence, they are looking for really skilled computer scientists that really understand not only the surface level of what their system does, but also understands what is happening in the background. Some experience with lower-level programming with a language like C/C++ would be super valuable (but not required).


What You’ll Do:

  • Build robust and reliable systems with Golang
  • Optimise for performance, you’re the type of person who always wants to get that extra 1%
  • This is a small team, so you’ll be contributing to technical and architectural decisions regularly
  • Help to upskill your teammates
  • Deploy to an on-prem Kubernetes cluster
  • Interact with databases using SQL


What We’re Looking For:

  • A true computer scientist
  • Strong experience with Golang
  • Experience working on Distributed Systems, Microservices and/or Platform Engineering
  • Experience deploying with Kubernetes (Cloud or on-prem is fine)
  • Strong knowledge of the internals of computer programming (memory management, performance etc).
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Degree in Computer Science
