QA Automation Engineer in COSTA RICA

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building, executing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using tools like BrowserStack, Appium, and Selenium. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our web and mobile applications through efficient and thorough automated testing processes. This will be a 6-month project, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the development and QA teams to identify test cases for automation and implement scalable automation solutions.
  • Ensure test automation coverage across all key functionality, including UI, API, and mobile applications.
  • Execute and monitor automated test runs, report bugs, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • Optimize and enhance the existing automation framework for better scalability and performance.
  • Maintain test environments, troubleshoot issues, and configure automated tests to run in continuous integration pipelines.
  • Contribute to manual testing efforts as needed for complex test cases and new feature releases.
  • Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide insights to improve testing processes and overall product quality.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in QA automation.
  • Strong experience with Selenium for web automation.
  • Experience with Appium for mobile app automation.
  • Familiarity with BrowserStack or other cross-browser testing tools.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex testing issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Intermediate English proficiency, at least B1/B2 level.
