Job Overview
Wargaming is looking for a Python Developer to work in the World of Warships Meta Team in our Belgrade office.
The Meta team is responsible for implementing and maintaining global, long-term features, including meta-gameplay activities—both regular and time-limited—player property management, various combat missions, achievements, and player statistics. The team collaborates closely with related teams, such as operations and analytics, to ensure that players can consistently set and pursue long-term goals within the game.
Developers in the team have the opportunity to participate in elaborating the concepts of features and influence their final presentation.
What will you do?
- Assist in shaping and prioritizing the team's backlog
- Contribute to feature development: decomposition, coding, and maintaining solutions
- Focus on implementing business logic for key features
- Present your features during design reviews to discuss architecture and implementation
- Collaborate with teams to resolve complex issues
What are we looking for?
- Strong proficiency in Python with 2+ years of experience in backend
- Solid understanding of OOP principles and design patterns
- Experience with relational databases
- Hands-on experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar)
- Intermediate English level or higher
- Readiness to work in Belgrade, Serbia (we help with relocation)

- Previous experience in game development or a passion for the gaming industry is a plus
