This is an in-studio role, and this is non-negotiable; however, we can offer bespoke relocation packages.
Responsibilities
Utilise your technical skills to optimise and develop core areas of the engine
Research and implement new features in Unreal
Delivering the vision of the game whilst ensuring technical performance
Low-level optimization within the render pipeline, crafting shaders and delving into the newest APIs
Work alongside Technical Artists to support with implementation and development of new shaders
Produce prototypes, tools, and systems
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior programmers in the team.
Required Skills And Experience
Experience in Realtime 3D rendering
Have strong grasp of C++, software design, programming and debugging.
Technically proficient in DirectX 12 or Vulkan
Have a strong grasp of 3D maths for games.
Experience writing game code with tight performance constraints.
Experience writing optimised code in Unreal Engine.
Worked on and released at least one title using Unreal Engine 4/5, preferably on
console platforms.
A desire to craft multiplayer games.
Desired Skills And Experience
Shipped a commercial multiplayer game.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant experience.
