Job Title: Electronics Design Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Requires Relocation)

Salary: €88k-€100k TAX Free

Job Responsibilities:

As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be an integral part of pioneering R&D projects, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to design and develop advanced electronic systems.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Designing electronic circuits for AC/DC power distribution systems.
• Developing PCB layouts, schematics, and component libraries, and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Prototyping electronic circuits for RF signal acquisition and signal processing.
• Creating and optimizing control systems for RF circuits.
• Designing sequencing circuits for high-power applications.
• Assembling, soldering, and testing various electronic circuits.
• Automating test benches using Python or LabVIEW programming.
• Developing test methods and sequences for effective prototype characterization and testing.
• Participating in the full R&D lifecycle, from concept and design to prototyping and manufacturing oversight.
• Overseeing the construction of systems and subsystems for lab-based experiments.
• Preparing detailed technical reports.
• Procuring equipment and components from local and global suppliers.
• Engaging in multidisciplinary project discussions within the institute.

Required Skills and Experience:

• At least three years of experience in PCB design and electronic subsystem integration.
• Proven expertise in at least one PCB design software (e.g., Altium, KiCad, EasyEDA).
• Hands-on experience working with PCBs for RF/microwave frequency circuits.
• Proficiency in programming microcontrollers and experience with tools like LabVIEW, Python, or MATLAB.
• Experience using circuit simulation software is preferred.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, C, and C++ is a plus.
• Basic understanding of mechanical assembly and 3D printing is beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, research-oriented environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of three years of experience in hardware design, development, and embedded systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, especially in a multidisciplinary research setting.
