Our client is super interesting R&D group involved in cutting edge Research and Applied Research.. We are helping them find passionate, tech-savvy robotics engineer with a solid foundation in robotic manipulators and experience using simulation tools like ROS2, Gazebo, MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, and Unity. This is a great role straight out of PHD/Masters or a Degree with some experience in the area's below.

As a Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in ground-breaking research on robotic manipulation. Your job will involve integrating, testing, and refining algorithms and control systems for robotic arms.

You'll work in both simulated and real-world environments, creating datasets, running experiments, and collaborating with a diverse team of experts.

If you're someone with hands-on experience in robotics, strong programming chops, and a drive to push the boundaries of what robots can do, this is for you.

The role entails 😊

1. Collaborate with the R&D team to improve algorithms for robot control, perception, and interaction.

2. Develop and test manipulation techniques in simulated environments (ROS2, Gazebo, MuJoCo, Unity) and with real robots.

3. Collect, manage, and pre- process datasets for experiments and training models.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Work side-by-side with researchers to design and implement robotic manipulation algorithms.

2. Simulate robot tasks in tools like ROS2, Gazebo, MuJoCo, and Unity.

3. Run hands-on experiments with physical robots, collecting and analyzing data.

4. Create and manage large datasets for testing and evaluating robotic systems.

5. Debug and optimize the performance of robots in both simulated and real-world scenarios.

6. Share your findings with the team and stakeholders, with thorough documentation.

Must-Have Skills:

- A Master’s in a relevant field (computer science, robotics, electrical/mechanical engineering, etc.). If you have a Bachelor’s but with strong work experience, that works too!

- Hands-on experience with robotic manipulators (hardware and software).

- Proficient in Python and C++.

- Experience with ROS/ROS2 and simulation tools (Gazebo, MuJoCo, Unity).

- Strong understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, and control systems.

- Experience working with drones (PX4, ArduPilot, DJI, etc.).

- Skilled at managing and processing large datasets.

- Familiarity with machine learning techniques.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to have’s - Bonus Points

- Published papers in top robotics journals or conferences (ICRA, IROS, RSS).

- Experience with deep learning (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for robotics.

- Knowledge of reinforcement learning and its use in robotic manipulation.

- Experience with real-time control systems for robots.

- Familiar with advanced 3D modeling and physics engines.
