DevOps Engineer (relocation to Belgium) in PORTUGAL

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.


Function Description:

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for automating deployment processes and ensuring smooth operation of cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure. Key tasks include:

1. Deployment Automation

  • Manage deployments using Jenkins and Digital AI deployment automation tools.
  • Automate the deployment of Middleware, Database, and Web products using Terraform.
  • Apply DevOps practices including Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment/Delivery, Continuous Testing, and Process Automation.

2. Infrastructure Management

  • Work with Linux systems and shell scripting.
  • Develop automation scripts using Python.
  • Configure and maintain infrastructure components and tools, such as:
  • Jenkins
  • Kubernetes
  • Maven
  • Helm
  • Node.js
  • Terraform
  • Ansible
  • Containers (Docker)

3. Automation and Orchestration

  • Implement build and deployment automation with Ansible.
  • Manage release orchestration, including application packaging, runbooks, and release pipelines/workflows.

4. CI/CD Platform Management

  • Work with Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, SVN, and Git for Continuous Integration.
  • Enable and support tooling for development, testing, quality assurance, and collaboration.

5. Cloud Enablement

  • Assist with cloud migration strategies, focusing on how to transition legacy and new assets to the cloud.


Required Experience:

  • Practical knowledge of production environments, including both hardware and software management.
  • Strong technical expertise in cloud environments, Java, and containerization.
  • Familiarity with architecture rules and standards.
  • Knowledge of development languages and frameworks (depending on the technical context) to provide architectural support and technical guidance.


Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Spring Boot and Node.js.
  • Experience with Digital AI, Jenkins, Ansible, Helm, and Terraform.
  • Experience with IBM Cloud is a plus.
