Senior Flutter Developer with Native Platform Experience

Location: Fully Remote (Contractor)

As our projects grow in complexity and reach, we are looking for a skilled Senior Flutter Developer who can bring strong cross-platform expertise and native development experience to our team.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will primarily work on building cross-platform applications using Flutter, but will also need to leverage their native platform skills (iOS or Android) to integrate complex native functionalities. You will be responsible for leading the development of new features, optimizing app performance, and ensuring a seamless experience across platforms. This is a fully remote contractor position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications with focus on Flutter based solutions that integrate native iOS and Android components.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability in the fields of image processing and AI.
• Support the implementation of REST APIs for our applications.
• Diagnose and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and stability issues.
• Assist in architecting scalable cross-platform and native solutions.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience with mobile platforms development, esp. Flutter and iOS. Know how in web development as well Python is a plus.
• Proficiency with native iOS and/or Android platforms is welcome.
• Experience with native iOS development using SwiftUI, AVFoundation, and CoreML is highly preferred.
• Nice to have: experience with Android development using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, CameraX, and Google MLKit is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a Kanban framework and as part of a collaborative team. We expect you to be able to write down requirements by yourself and implement them, end to end, while thinking from the point of view of an user.
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and best practices, including MVVM, MVC, or Clean Architecture.
• Location in European Timezones.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications (GitLab)
• Proficiency in web development (e.g. with Django)
• Proficiency in Python and OpenCV
• Understanding of cross-platform compatibility challenges and solutions.
• Knowledge of advanced state management techniques in Flutter (e.g., GetX, Bloc).
• German, Spanish or Russian speaking skills.
• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar.
