People Operations Specialist in BRAZIL

The role

MoveUp Media is seeking a People Operations Specialist based in Brazil to join our dynamic, remote-first team. This operational role will focus on enhancing HR processes, ensuring smooth workflows, and fostering positive collaborator’s experience. You will participate in key HR functions, managing recruitment workflows, overseeing onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring data accuracy in HR systems, supporting payroll and benefits administration, internal communication, and compliance with legal standards. This position plays a vital role in supporting the full employee lifecycle alongside the Head of People aligned with MoveUp Media's goals.

The People Operations Specialist also drives continuous improvement initiatives to streamline HR operations and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

To be more specific your core responsibilities will include:

• Manage and enhance HR processes to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
• Oversee the recruitment process, including job posting, candidate coordination, and communication with hiring managers.
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new collaborators, ensuring a positive experience and proper integration into the company.
• Manage offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with company policies.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of employee data in HR systems, maintaining up-to-date records.
• Support payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accurate compensation and benefits distribution
• Ensure compliance with local Brazilian labor laws and international legal standards across HR practices.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies that align with the company's remote-first approach and global expansion goals.
• Foster positive employee relations, addressing concerns and promoting open communication.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise HR operations and improve the employee experience.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of People on strategic HR initiatives to support the company’s growth and culture.
• Ensure clear and effective internal communication to enhance employee engagement and understanding of company policies.

• Experience with HR systems and tools.
• Worked in English and Portuguese (fluent level in both languages is required)
• Experience working in a remote-first company.
