Recruitment Manager in SOUTH AFRICA

The Civi Group is a Boston, MA, USA based recruiting agency specializing in the Construction, Engineering, and Architecture industries. Due to company growth, we are looking to add an entrepreneurial and experienced Recruiting Manager to our recruiting team.


In this position, you'll focus on building a network of candidates in the US Northeast who work in the Construction, Architecture, and Engineering industries. Since most candidates in this field are busy and not checking emails, cold calling will be a key strategy. You'll also use a combination of job boards, LinkedIn, and cold calling to grow your candidate pool.


As your talent pool gets larger, the focus will shift from sourcing new candidates to maintaining and strengthening the relationships you've already built.


Long-term growth includes eventually working directly with US clients.


Compensation:


  • Base salary depends on experience but is up to $2,000 USD per month, paid weekly.
  • Commissions on placements average 5% of total revenue, or about $1,000 per placement

  • We're a 100% remote team, working through Zoom, Slack, and Outlook. Our recruiting team is based in Boston, MA, USA, with back-office operations in Manila Philippines, and now expansion into South Africa.


  • Common software we use include LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Indeed, Loxo ATS, Slack, Metaview, SalesQL for cell phone numbers, ChatGPT and more.


  • The most common positions we hire for include Project Executives, Senior Project Managers, Superintendents, Civil & Structural Engineers, Estimators, & operational positions such as Accounting Managers.


Responsibilities:


  • This Recruiting Manager will build and maintain a network of candidates in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sectors in the US Northeast.


  • Make 30-60 calls per day starting out to build your network. Over time, as your network grows, your focus will shift to maintaining those relationships.


  • Source candidates through cold calling, LinkedIn, Indeed, and other platforms.


  • Screen candidates to assess their skills, qualifications, and cultural fit for open roles.


  • Submit qualified candidates to clients, coordinate interview schedules, and manage communication throughout the hiring process.


  • Write compelling outreach messages and emails to attract high-quality candidates.


  • Review resumes and direct applications to match candidates with suitable roles.


  • Long-term growth includes working directly with US clients.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5+ years of recruiting experience (Construction experience a plus but not required).
  • Comfortable cold calling candidates, as relying only on LinkedIn won't be effective.
  • Strong English skills, both written and verbal (C1 or C2 level).
  • Willing to align with Boston, MA, USA hours (EST) to a reasonable degree
  • Full-time availability with the ability to work remotely.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to grow with the company.
