Digital Publications Designer in WASHINGTON DC-BALTIMORE AREA

Our client is looking for a digital designer who has worked for publications. This position will create engaging, content-driven designs and smart and reader-centric illustrations for the website, social media, newsletters, and other digital needs.

This is an 18+ month, W2 opportunity. You have the ability to be fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, content-driven designs or illustrations that are smart and reader-centric for website, social media, newsletter, and other organizational digital needs
• Brainstorm ideas and build enhanced storytelling presentations through strong collaborative relationships with digital editors, photo editors, and producers
• Deliver creative digital presentations on tight deadlines by guiding in all phases from concept to launch, reviewing work for errors, and incorporating feedback

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in applicable areas
• 5-7 years of experience designing for publications, both digital and web content
• Strong knowledge of typography and strong experience designing and combining typography, illustration, and photos
• Strong eye for the details needed to combine elements together
• Exhibits a penchant for creativity, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
