As a (Sr) Android Engineer you will be delivering a direct impact to more than 51 million Zalando customers in 25 countries and growing. You will take the Customer Data Platform systems to the next level, by building scalable and compliant serving capabilities serving millions of customers to our internal stakeholders.
Teams at our Dublin Tech Hub work on many of the cornerstones of our Fashion Store, including personalization components. Through full stack engineering and research, we turn visionary ideas into new emerging businesses with real potential. By tackling the most challenging problems for the fashion industry, we drive the personal digital experience and underlying knowledge models to create the most inspirational fashion experience for our customers.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You will be part of an agile cross functional team that builds solutions for Zalando’s Android and iOS applications.
Together with the team you will build solutions to configure and identify locally relevant assortment for our customers.
Communicate with various stakeholders to understand the business context, and translate the requirements into technical designs.
Act like an owner by taking up a challenge, work towards reducing ambiguity, and break the work down into manageable tasks for the team.
Lean on your Android experience and skill set, develop robust, performant and maintainable code.
Share and develop your expertise with your team to deliver the best user experience to our customers
You’ll play a key role in the design, development, and deployment of those by assessing the technical and computational complexity based on the functional and nonfunctional requirements and data volumes
You’ll closely collaborate with Product Management (and other roles) to refine the functional requirements and build
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You are an experienced Android developer who is eager to work with new technologies while trying to challenge yourself and deliver high-quality code.
You have a deep understanding of the Android SDK & App Architecture. You are familiar with Jetpack compose, RxJava, Coroutines and functional programming concepts of Kotlin.
You have a strong sense of ownership for your work – writing well structured, readable, and maintainable code that’s covered by automated tests.
You have several years of experience working in high performance teams and can independently drive technical discussions and facilitate complex decision making.
You communicate effectively in English and are comfortable collaborating with different product, design, and engineering teams.
