Middle IT Administrator (relocation to the Netherlands) in PORTUGAL

We are seeking a talented IT Administrator willing to relocate to or currently located in Zoeterwoud, the Netherlands.


In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, administering, and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will work in a collaborative, Agile-driven environment, delivering high-quality IT solutions while responding to changes with flexibility and a problem-solving mindset.


Professional Skills:

  • University degree in IT / Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a structured and pragmatic approach.
  • Autonomous, with the ability to adapt and respond effectively to changes.
  • Customer-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Open-minded and solutions-oriented, thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and be on-call as needed.


Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
  • Proven experience in Windows Domain and Systems (servers/workstations) administration, Active Directory management, and Group Policy Object (GPO) handling/implementation.
  • Experience with deployment tools (e.g., SCCM) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Networking and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware administration.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation using PowerShell.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written); proficiency in French or Dutch is a plus.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Windows servers and workstations, ensuring optimal system performance and availability.
  • Manage Active Directory and implement Group Policy Objects (GPOs) as required.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance, identifying and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Support virtualization environments, particularly VMware, ensuring stability and performance.
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives in an Agile environment.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and perform occasional weekend work as needed.
