Position: React Native Developer (Expo)

Salary: $18000 P/A to increase to $24,000 in year 2

Hours: Full-Time - 170 Hours (Flexible/Ideally Majority in UK Office Hours)

Holiday: Generous 25 Days P/A

Location: Fully Remote Working (Using Tracked Online Monitoring Software)

At The Coaching Masters, we provide the education and qualifications to help people become online Life Coaches. Our products include a social networking application, a monthly membership subscription & online accredited courses.

Roles & Responsibilities:

We’re excited to welcome a Junior React Native developer with Expo experience to join our innovative team as a full-time assistant developer. This role presents a unique opportunity for an ambitious developer to contribute to meaningful projects, work closely with our lead developer, and grow their skills in a supportive, remote environment.

As an app developer, you will join our team to work alongside our UI team, delivering innovative experiences for our users. The main project you will be working on is to develop our existing application and add new features to the platform to make it the go-to platform for coaches! The first exciting feature we are working on is creating a custom-built marketplace for coaches and clients to exchange their services.

You will be given the desired outcome and brief of the project and you’d then be required to create a plan with milestones and work using your own initiative with the rest of the technology team to get results, in an efficient and ambitious timeframe.

• Work closely with our Founding Team, reporting to our Technology Director
• Evolve our bootstrap MVP implementation for scale
• Add new functionalities to the mobile app
• Build and create new functions from scratch with guidance & training

Who You Are

• Direct work experience in modern mobile app development - React Native
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and aptitude for teamwork in a remote setting
• Enthusiasm for learning, adapting to new technologies, and tackling challenges
• knowledgeable in best practices and able to write clean, maintainable code, love exploring new avenues and uncharted web technologies.
• Passionate about user experience, interactive interfaces, and responsive UIs. Love working in a fast-paced startup environment and a small team.
• Hungry to build! Ready to create something from the ground up for scale.

Our Tech Stack

• Proven experience with React Native and Expo (minimum 1 year)
• Proficiency in TypeScript and its application in React Native projects
• Ability to create, maintain, and troubleshoot React Native applications
• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles for creating intuitive mobile interfaces
• Day-to-day, it's Monday.com, Slack, Zoom, and the usual tools you would expect remote teams to use.
