Propulsion Test Engineer: Electronics in ITALY

Sidereus Space Dynamics is at the forefront of revolutionizing space access through its pioneering reusable single-stage launch vehicles, tailored for ultra-responsive orbital access. 

We are looking for a Propulsion Electronics Test Engineer to support the development of the electronic test bench as well as upgrading and maintaining the test sites. You will design and commission new test benches, code and operate the DAQ system, do all the cablings and connectors, take part in engine testing campaigns and generally have a multi-faceted role mixing hands-on and theoretical work.  

• Write the code software needed for the DAQ. 
• Operate the DAQ dashboard on the field during the tests. 
• Choose sensors, actuators and valves for the specific test. 
• Do all the cablings and connectors. 
• Code the tests’ sequences. 

• Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.  
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electronics testing.  
• Basic understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and propulsion systems.  
• Advanced skills in LabView. 
• Advanced skills in programming languages like Matlab, Python, C, C++ or related.  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.  
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.   
• Advanced proficiency in technical English, both written and spoken.  

• Basic experience with both pressure-fed and pump-fed propulsion systems.  
• Prior experience with advanced pipeline design, valves and sensors.  
• Experience with reading and creating P&IDs.  
• Experience with supporting propulsion test campaigns such as hot and cold flow testing.  
• Experience working in a safety-critical environment.  
• Experience in data analysis acquisition and post process.  
• Experience in writing technical reports.  

For this role, we offer a salary range between €30,000 and €55,000, commensurate with your qualifications and experience. Our benefits package includes:
