American Engineering Corporation is seeking a Construction Project Manager in main land Japan. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing big-scale Projects.
We will mainly entrust you with the construction management of various construction works in the US military base in mainland Japan.
On-site management and supervision for on-going projects, Specifically, you will be in charge of construction management, cost management, quality control, safety and health, etc., construction management, and site supervision.
Job Responsibilities
・Planning, developing, coordinating, and directing construction projects.
・Leading multi-discipline project teams, including architecture, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and structural engineering.
・Estimating resource needs, scheduling, and assigning work to meet project milestone dates.
・Mentoring and staff development, including thorough, high-quality performance appraisals.
・Understanding what the client or company wants to achieve
・Agreeing timescales, costs, and resources needed to deliver a project
・Preparing a detailed schedule on how to achieve each stage of a project
・Negotiating with contractors and suppliers/subcontractors
・Ensuring that each stage of the project happens on time, on budget, and to a high standard
・Reporting regularly on progress to the client and stakeholders
・Resolving any issues or delays
・Demonstrating knowledge of all areas of construction
・Managing several projects simultaneously with the support of junior project managers
・Working in a construction site.

Qualifications・Experience
・Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
・Minimum 10 years of construction management experience
・Strong demonstrated project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel and subcontractors.
・Reading, understanding, and interpreting highly technical drawings and specification
・Strong verbal and written communication skills.
・Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
・Business development skills and experience such as client engagement and proposal preparation.
・Understanding of scheduling concepts and familiarity with software such as Primavera P6, MS Projects or equivalent.
・Knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws and regulations as they relate to engineering performance requirements and as outlined in the EM-385-1-1 or equivalent.
・PMP (PMI) certificate
・Prior US Federal / DoD experience

Base salary x 2.0 total (Results from previous year is 2.5)
