About us
We are an early-stage start-up with the mission to build a next-generation European aerospace prime.
Joining us at this stage offers a rare chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of a company working on advancing Europe’s technological sovereignty.
As an early team member, you’ll have a direct impact on our strategic direction, technology development, and the creation of innovative solutions that will drive our success.
You’ll be working alongside a small, dynamic team where your contributions will be visible and significant from day one. This is an opportunity to take ownership, collaborate closely with founders, and influence key decisions that will shape our growth. As we scale, you’ll grow with us, gaining unmatched experience in building a high-impact company from the ground up.
What we're looking for
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be instrumental in bringing our drone technology from concept to mass production. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers, product managers, and partners, you will take responsibility for designing, optimizing, and scaling critical mechanical components. This role will allow you to push the boundaries of modular, easily manufacturable, high-performance drone systems in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment.
The day-to-day
- Lead the design and integration of complex UAV systems, ensuring all subsystems (mechanical, electrical, software) work cohesively to meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize flight control systems, communication protocols, power management, and payload integration.
- Conduct system-level testing in both lab and field environments to validate performance, reliability, and safety under real-world conditions.
- Perform systems engineering tasks such as requirements definition, system architecture design, and trade studies to evaluate design options.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and aviation regulations, documenting system design and testing procedures for regulatory approval.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across hardware and software, ensuring that UAV systems meet quality and performance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement of system performance by analyzing test data, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending improvements.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
You should apply if you
- Have a strong background in systems engineering, with experience in UAV, aerospace, or robotics industries.
- Are proficient in systems design and integration, with knowledge of UAV flight control systems, communication systems, and power management.
- Have experience taking UAV systems from concept through to production, with a deep understanding of systems engineering principles.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where rapid prototyping and iteration are critical to success.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex system designs and technical concepts to both engineers and non-engineers.
- Thrive in a startup environment where you can take ownership of system integration, drive innovation, and have a direct impact on the final product.
Nice to haves
- Experience working with FPV drones or other unmanned systems, with knowledge of specific challenges such as flight control, payload integration, and communication.
- Familiarity with safety-critical system design and regulatory compliance for UAVs or aerospace systems.
- Experience with modular and scalable system architectures, designed for ease of assembly and maintenance.
What we offer
- Competitive salary and equity options
- A dynamic and fast-paced startup environment with significant room for growth and responsibility
- A collaborative and flexible working culture focused on innovation and outcomes, not time-tracking
- Remote work and relocation support for top candidates
