Job Overview
Ultima is seeking a dedicated and skilled 3rd Line Network Security Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to continuously learn and grow in a collaborative, globally diverse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support for network security technologies, ensuring timely and effective resolution of complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Take ownership of incidents and problems, demonstrating a proactive approach to identifying and implementing solutions.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of network security infrastructure, including firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Monitor and maintain network security systems, ensuring compliance with best practices and organizational policies.
- Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and processes for knowledge sharing within the team.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in network security to enhance service offerings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Certifications: CCNA or CCNP certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years in IT, with at least 2 years in a 3rd line support role focused on network technologies.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Cisco Layer 2 & 3 switching and Cisco ACI.
- Experience with routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
- Familiarity with Cisco Wireless networks.
- Knowledge of Citrix ADC and Kemp load balancers.
- Experience with Cisco CUCM, Unity, Jabber, Webex DI, and Teams Voice.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Checkpoint).
- Understanding of proxy services, particularly Zscaler.
- Experience with Azure core infrastructure, including firewalls (Azure Native, Palo Alto, Checkpoint), load balancers (Azure Native, Citrix ADC Netscalers), application gateways, and connectivity solutions (Express Route, VPN).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and well-organized.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a passion for teamwork and collaboration.
- Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership and pride in delivering high-quality work.
- Technically curious with a desire to understand how systems and services work.
