Data Science Lead, you will join a team of highly committed analysts, data engineers, and developers and form our data science team.

You will start your onboarding in the
Core team. Our team’s mission is to effortlessly gather, aggregate, and instantly provide all in-app event and marketing data to developers and marketers. Joining the Core team, you will have access to state-of-the-art technology and work closely with our analysts, data engineers, and developers owning our data lake and pipelines. You will form an independent data science team to implement new approaches on how to leverage our data assets with new algorithms and ideas.
Your exploratory data analysis will help us make the data speak by transforming recurring analyses into metrics and alerts.
We update our analytics tech stack frequently to adjust to our platform growth. Therefore, we offer plenty of opportunities to learn. Knowledge exchange is fostered by regular workshops.
How The Optimal Candidate Will Look Like
- You have 5+ years of experience in applying Data Science/ML in real-life tasks where the projects had measurable business value.
- You have a Master’s degree in Data Science/Applied Mathematics or a related field.
- Expert knowledge of Python and SQL.
- You have an entrepreneurial and hacker mindset; when there is a tough problem, it motivates you to drill deeper.
- You easily switch between move-fast and no-margin-for-error modes.
- You are able to dive deep into math and explain complex topics in an easy way.
Key responsibilities:
- You scale the team and mentor a small team of data scientists and analysts.
- Drive the development of our data science tech stack by looking for innovation opportunities and steering the implementation by our development team.
- Hand in hand with our developers, you transform recurring analyses into metrics, charts, business-related messages, and the underlying data storage and pipelines.
- You will work on ML models to notify our users about detected trends and statistical outliers in real-time.
- You extract knowledge and actionable insights from noisy, structured, and unstructured data.
- You perform exploratory data analysis to determine correlations and trends.
- You drill into data from various sources (Redshift, Spark, SQL, Athena, S3, Druid event streams, AWS data pipeline).
