Payroll Accounting Manager

$80,000 - $100,000 + bonus

Birmingham, Alabama

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire payroll system, including regular payroll, bonuses, relocation expenses, incentives, 401K deductions, and other related requests
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and county requirements and guidelines
  • Manage the accurate filing of all related federal, state, local, and county taxes
  • Ensure compliance with withholdings, garnishments, and other tax-related regulations
  • Balance the annual payroll to facilitate year-end close processes
  • Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals to ensure timely and accurate payroll operations
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Tax to ensure seamless payroll processes and compliance


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required
  • 5 + years of proven experience in payroll management and accounting
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing a payroll team is a plus
