Data Access Management - BigID Engineer
At Orion Labs, we are looking for a Data Access Management - BigID Engineer for a contract position with one of our clients.
The duration of the contract will be 6 months to begin with and multiple extensions possible.
The position is a fully remote role and should be open to working in EST time zone and take calls whenever needed.
The position is supposed to start in October, and we want someone who can be onboarded quickly.
Role Specific Responsibilities
The Data Access Management - BigID Engineer will work closely with the Architect and other members of the team to lead and support the technical implementations (design, build, test, deploy and support), guide the team in technical challenges and solutions.
The ideal candidate will be required to have the below requirements:
- Experience in implementation and execution of data discovery, classification, access, monitoring, governance tools.
- Experience working with a variety of data sources, such as on prem systems, SaaS solutions, Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), custom solutions, etc.
- Experience and extensive knowledge on Data Access Management Lifecycle (identification, certification, remediation, analytics & reporting, etc.) processes and implementation of the use cases.
- Understand and experience in implementing Data Governance capabilities such as data quality, metadata management, access remediation, access governance, and relevant standards.
- Expert knowledge of data protection and information governance principles
- Enhance and/or develop new mechanisms to streamline and improve data access within the enterprise.
- Cybersecurity Experience: A minimum of 5 years.
- Data Access Engineer Experience: A minimum of 3 years.
- Experience with BigID Products: A minimum of 2 years.
Skills Knowledge and Experience
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills; ability to understand and analyze complex issues
- Self-motivated, detail orientated, highly organized and able to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in an efficient manner with a high level of quality
- Creating and maintaining documentation related to IT policies, procedures, and standards or creating any documentation as requested.
- Ability to collaborate with other resources or train the team for future sustainment activities.
Rate: 75-85 CAD per hour.
