Job Overview:

A MedTech business are looking for a skilled Database Developer to join a growing Product Development team. In this role, you will be play a huge part in server-side development and optimisation of data, including REST APIs for NHS and private medical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• At least 2 years of experience working with databases and writing database code, PL/SQL in Oracle/Postgres or T-SQL in SQL Server.
• Understanding of SQL, DDL and DML.
• Server-side development and optimisation of data, including REST APIs written primarily in PL/SQL along with Lambda functions written in Node.js (if you don’t have experience with Node.js, then you will gain it in this role)
• Integrate with various 3rd party services, including NHS and private medical systems.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, aiding with how to use backend APIs and advising the most efficient way to interface with the backend.
• Good working knowledge of git.
• Various AWS services such as API Gateway, S3, Lambda Functions, Cognito, CloudFront, RDS and EC2.

Experience:

• Experience working with databases and writing database code, PL/SQL in Oracle/Postgres or T-SQL in SQL Server.
• Understanding of SQL, DDL and DML.
• Good working knowledge of git.
• Node.js is a bonus
• Knowledge of various AWS services such as API Gateway, S3, Lambda Functions, Cognito, CloudFront, RDS and EC2 is desirable.
