Insight Global is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Front Office team to support Logistics capabilities. This role involves leading and mentoring a hybrid team (3-5 members in the US and 4-5 in India), collaborating with a team lead in India for seamless cross-time zone coordination. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing technical leadership and mentorship to ensure high-quality code and best practices, coordinating with the team lead in India to manage workflows, and overseeing the delivery of productivity applications and integrations to meet the needs of internal users and customers. The role also involves partnering with software engineers, a delivery lead, and Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) to execute projects and enhance logistics capabilities, engaging in backend services, third-party integrations (including mobile application creation), software development, and collaborating with delivery teams, product owners, and business users to plan and estimate features for the product roadmap. The client’s current pain points are candidates who can provide value and knowledge to their AWS environment including but not limited to, containerization, event drive architecture, CI/CD creation, etc. The client does have a fully set up asynchronous serverless environment but looking for a candidate who can help divide work amongst team, push along delivery practices, and solution when needed. The ideal candidate will come from an enterprise environment and be able to get into the weeds on the Node backend code and AWS environment but primarily act as a lead.
