The Role:
We are searching for a Senior HR leader to head our human resources initiatives and foster a
culture of collaboration and innovation within our growing team. Reporting directly to the CEO,
you will be the company’s first dedicated HR leader and have full autonomy to build out the HR
function from the ground up. You will be responsible for developing and implementing systems,
policies, and procedures that align with the company’s business goals, drive employee
engagement, and contribute to developing a supportive workplace culture. As a senior member of
the leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the future trajectory of this company's
people and culture.
What you will do:
• Develop, implement, and manage HR strategies, systems, and processes aligned with
company goals and culture.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team on all people-related matters.
• Build and lead the HR department, hiring and managing a team as the company grows.
• Establish best practices for recruitment, onboarding, talent development, employee
engagement, organizational development, performance management, and employee
relations.
• Experience in recruiting/talent acquisition and employee development.
• Support employee growth and development through training and leadership programs.
• Proven ability to create and implement effective HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive company culture that attracts and retains top
talent.
• Manage compensation and benefits programs.
• Handle sensitive employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience
• Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
• Experience managing diverse teams and promoting an inclusive workplace culture
• Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
• Experience with HR software and databases (e.g., ATS, HRIS).
• Proven experience in building and leading HR functions from scratch in a fast-growing
company.
• Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• High level of initiative, proactive problem-solving, and adaptability.
