Job Summary:
We are seeking multiple HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Test Engineers to join our team in various locations across Japan. The successful candidates will be responsible for designing, integrating, and maintaining HIL systems, such as Vector or dSPACE Scalexio, specifically for vehicle and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functionalities. This role is crucial in ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of automotive systems through rigorous testing and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- HIL System Design & Integration: Design and integrate HIL systems using Vector or dSPACE Scalexio platforms to simulate vehicle and ADAS functionalities.
- Test Case Development: Develop and execute test cases for validating automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and subsystems.
- Model Development: Create and modify plant models for use in HIL simulations, ensuring accurate representation of vehicle dynamics and behaviors.
- System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to HIL systems, including hardware, software, and communication protocols.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts and automation processes to streamline testing and data analysis.
- Data Analysis: Analyze test results to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement; document findings and recommendations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, system engineers, and project managers, to ensure cohesive system integration and testing.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all testing processes adhere to relevant automotive standards and regulations.
- Reporting: Provide detailed reports on testing outcomes, system performance, and any identified issues.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HIL testing, with hands-on experience using Vector or dSPACE Scalexio systems.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in HIL systems and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of automotive electronics and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay).
- Experience with model-based development using tools like MATLAB/Simulink.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or CAPL for test automation.
Language Skills:
- Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N3 or above); English proficiency is a plus.
