What will you do

• Machine Learning Applications: Apply cutting-edge machine learning techniques to address real-world business challenges. Collaborate on the implementation and optimization of machine learning models. Gain hands-on experience and have direct, firsthand exposure to the tangible business impact of your work.
• ML/AI-Centered Backend Applications:  Design and develop robust backend applications and APIs that power AI and machine learning models, ensuring seamless integration and exceptional performance within diverse client environments.
• Drive Innovation: Apply the latest technologies and methodologies in backend development, cloud architecture, and data engineering to solve complex problems and enhance system capabilities.

Who are we looking for

• Educational Background: BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or any of the core mathematical sciences, with additional coursework or certification in cloud computing, data engineering, or backend development preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, Backend Developer, Cloud Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a similar role with a strong focus on building and deploying scalable systems, data pipelines, and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining machine learning model integration pipelines within a production environment, with an emphasis on backend architecture and data flow management.
• Proficient in both English and Spanish.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced experience in cloud platforms (AWS), with a strong focus on deploying backend or ML/AI applications to production environments. This should include expertise in serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda), container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud-native application development, and experience with AWS services such as EC2, SageMaker, and Bedrock.
• Expertise in backend development using Python, including building, deploying, and managing REST APIs with frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, and Django, developing microservices architecture, and designing high-availability systems. 
• Proficiency in core ML frameworks like Scikit-Learn, Boosting, and Time-series modeling.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering, including designing and building data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions using tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, or Airflow.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Excellent knowledge of version control systems (GitHub, GitLab) and familiarity with functional programming and unit testing in backend or cloud contexts.
• Proficiency in utilizing and integrating AI models, including experience with large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face) and frameworks such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and fine-tuning techniques. Additionally, strong emphasis on applying this knowledge in production environments, ensuring effective deployment and integration within cloud-based systems..

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in at least one additional object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, C#, or C++) with experience in backend application development.
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, BigQuery) and building or maintaining data lakes.
