THE ROLE
This roles brings together a passion for storytelling, a knack for creativity, a love for all things health and fitness, combined with a deep understanding of social media. In this dynamic role, you’ll be the driving force behind our social media strategy, and providing leadership to the social media team in creating, curating, and managing eye-catching content that engages, excites, and grows our audience across multiple platforms. You’ll also collaborate with influencers, stay on top of trends, and use your expertise to develop creative campaigns that resonate with our community and importantly bring alive our brand positioning “Built for Life”.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
Set the Vision and Execute the direction:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase followers and maximise engagement.
- Execute against our core communication pillars that drive the NW brand positioning and audience connection
- Set specific objectives and report on ROI.
- Track and analyse social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Analyse competitors' and peer brands social media activities and identify opportunities for improvement
Lead the social media team:
- Lead a team of content creators and social media coordinators to ideate and create (script, film, edit and produce) engaging content that is relevant to our target audience and brand content pillars.
- Create content with Ambassadors
- Create and manage the scheduling for all social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with brand voice and marketing goals.
- Jump on evolving social media trends to drive up engagement.
- Experiment with new techniques and tools to drive engagement and conversions.
- Work with other departments to ensure social media activities align with overall company goals and campaigns.
- Lead and inspire the social media team, providing mentorship, coaching and guidance to all members so that the team grows together!
- Manage the team workload
Social Media Tools you must know how to use
- Meta Business Suite / Creator Studio
- Storrito/Later (Scheduling platform or any other scheduling tool)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop & Lightroom)
- Canva
- Monday
- Shopify (for Shopify Collabs)
- Knowledge of shooting content with a camera
ABOUT YOU
What we are looking for
- A person ready to ditch the big city for the sunny health conscious Gold Coast !!
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
- Experience working in the fitness and retail industry would be beneficial
- Experience working with content creators
- The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and work confidently under pressure is necessary
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box
- Analytical skills and ability to interpret social media metrics
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
(Short travel trips may also be required as part of the role)
