Redbook is revolutionizing the financial operating system for the $258B livestock industry, starting with digitizing the $90B cattle industry, the largest vertical in agriculture. We have built the only cloud-based product in the industry that connects field operations and financials, resulting in 25%+ profit increases and first-time visibility into real-time earnings for ranchers.
The market is resonating with our solution with a backlog of go-lives and almost 50 customers using the product. We plan to completely change how farmers manage their businesses and money.
About The Role
We're hiring a Senior+ engineer to help us build new features, integrate with other agtech products, and help improve scalability. Upcoming projects include integrating feedyard software and hardware, performance improvement, user-facing RBAC, fintech offerings, and much more!
Depending on your interests, there's also room to work on feature design, product, and project management.

What you'll do
- You will write high-quality code
- You will lead the implementation of new features
- You will participate in technical projects involving multiple engineers
- You will investigate and troubleshoot production issues
- You will gain a deep understanding of complex cattle feeding workflows, including supply chain, operations, accounting, and more.
- You will design and own technical solutions to business problems with the team
- You will support our peer teams throughout the company
You will join our tech team composed of the CTO (ex Stack Overflow), 1 Staff Full Stack Engineer, and 1 Senior Full Stack Engineer. We are looking for a backend-focused member. We're quality-focused, aiming for excellence in a fun, friendly atmosphere.
Our tech stack includes Next.js (Typescript), PostgreSQL, GraphQL, React, Prisma, MUI. Our CI uses GitHub Actions, jest, and Playwright. We deploy on Vercel Serveless.
What we're seeking
Must have
- 4+ years as a software engineer
- Strong technical skills (any language)
- Technical depth
- Autonomous and Proactive
- Software design and architecture expertise
- Production troubleshooting experience
- Good communication skills
- SQL experience
- Located in the Americas
Nice to have
- Experience with frontend development (React, CSS)
- iOS / Swift development experience
