The Opportunity
- Responsible for driving improvement in business capabilities and results through the development of best in class data management and data solutions in support of Auto finance business partners.
The Work Itself
- Write SQL code to perform complex data extraction from multiple, large data sources
- Write SQL code to perform complex data aggregation, cleaning, and quality checking
- Leverage Python, R and other tools to automate daily and monthly data processes
- Create and maintain data documentation (mapping, logic rule, lineage and etc)
- Conceptualize organized data structures and marts to simplify data sourcing
- Able to understand business need by effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and follow up as needed.
- Partner with internal IT teams to optimize data architecture and data utilization
- Participate in data quality rule creation and testing activities
- Proactively engage in projects to provide data thought leadership
- Perform special data projects/assignments as needed
Skills
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree IT or data discipline (MIS, Computer Sci, Data Science, Data Analytics)
- Master’s degree in IT or data discipline (MIS, Computer Sci, Data Science, Data Analytics) preferred
- Good understanding and work experience in database, data warehouse.
- Experienced in SQL. 1+ years performing complex data extraction from multiple, large data sources
- 1+ years programming in Python preferred
- Experience with version control (Gitlab, Bitbucket, etc)
- Experience developing and maintaining automated data processes and structures
- Experience collaborating with partners to understand data requirements preferred
- Experience in consumer financing industry (auto, mortgage, etc.) preferred
- Able to learn fast and apply new learnings to deliver results in project.
