Project Description:

Our client in banking and capital markets industry is building a centralised platform for its sales and trading business vertical.

FICC Technology Team is seeking a strong Java low latency developer to build the Next Generation Market Data Plant which will ingest, collect and disseminate market data and perform order execution with the lowest possible latency. In addition, market data will be distributed to internal applications via publish/subscribe and other well-known industry mechanisms

Responsibilities:

Large application footprint deployment and support

Cloud native application development, HA, zero downtime, A/B deployment

State of the art application instrumentation (logging, tracing, metrics)

Name server registry, auto DNS, discoverability of services, Service registry and service management

SpringBoot platform, SpringBoot server, SpringBoot Admin

Ansible/Terraform, Kubernetes

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 6-7 years of experience in Java development

• Extensive Java core server experience

• Strong knowledge of fundamental Computer Science Data Structures and excellent program-solving skills

• Good understanding of large-scale solution design and implementation

• Extensive experience with Java memory model and concurrency

• Experience with high volume processing, real time systems or low-latency solutions

• Experience with distributed systems or cloud computing

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Experience in building resilient, scalable, and high-performing multithreaded applications

• Java low latency experience

• Knowledge and/or experience with JNI

• Experience with Market Data Feed Handlers

• Experience with network protocols (TCP, Multicast)

• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD

• Unix and Python scripting
