Gleanin is a Community Marketing platform which helps event marketers create sell-out events. We're looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails developer to help accelerate our roadmap. This role will predominantly be developing our Ruby on Rails backed API. As we’re a small team you will also be expected to contribute to Javascript projects and possibly Vue, bringing a curiosity to learn with you.



Package

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
  • 4 day week; Monday - Thursday
  • Macbook.
  • Remote working (but must be commutable to London).
  • Annual company retreat.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Gleanin's API using Ruby on Rails.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code and tests, following best practices and coding standards.
  • Collaborate within the product team to design new features and functionality.
  • Review pull requests for quality and correctness.
  • Develop and maintain Javascript integrations with third party providers
  • Resolve service tickets.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product.
  • Actively participate in 1:1s and Sprint meetings.
  • Attend team meetings in London once per month (we pay travel).



Key Requirements

  • Based in the south east of the UK with full rights to work in the UK.
  • At least 4 years of experience with Ruby on Rails development.
  • Experience working with a large, production application.
  • Confident using Git and Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Highly organised, pro-active and happy to work unsupervised.
  • Team player who is comfortable working as part of a fully remote organisation.
