About RIVA Markets

We are building a cutting-edge capital markets infrastructure that brings alternative assets on-chain, starting with private debt, real estate debt, corporate bonds, and funds—asset classes worth more $60 trillion. Our vision is to seamlessly issue, manage, and trade these assets on-chain throughout their lifecycle via four modules: a loan origination system, a securitisation and tokenisation platform, a primary issuance and secondary market exchange, and a fund management platform. Our solution takes a pragmatic hybrid approach, allowing digital assets to be issued and managed without requiring investors to manage tokens. Instead, assets can be issued and managed as digital assets like bilateral loans agreements, digital securities, and tokenised to avoid frictions for investors who don’t want to manage tokens. We believe this is a transition for many institutional and professional investors, who need the infrastructure leveraging the benefits of the blockchain and provide them a seamless transition to tokenised asset management.

We’ve already laid the groundwork by developing an interoperable infrastructure with our venture labs JV and have a pool of skilled of developers. We are now seeking a Blockchain CTO and Chief Product Architect to lead the technical roadmap, further build out our infrastructure, and bring our innovative product to market.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced hands-on Blockchain CTO who will also serve as Chief Product Architect and Co-Founder. You will play a key role in shaping the technical strategy and executing the development of our platform getting the platform ready to hit the market. This is an equity-only role to start, with significant potential for future compensation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical development and manage the full product lifecycle, with hands-on involvement in critical areas.
• Review and enhance existing infrastructure, smart contracts, and interoperability architecture to ensure a fast time-to-market.
• Define and implement a scalable, modular architecture for integrating new asset types across all platform modules.
• Collaborate with clients and investors to gather requirements, create technical blueprints, and develop implementation plans.
• Establish agile project management practices to streamline development and release cycles.
• Develop technical solutions for OpenBanking API integration to track settlements and update on-chain balances.
• Mentor and guide the development team, fostering innovation and process improvements.
• Monitor market developments in tokenised deposits, TradFi, and DeFi intersection technologies to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.
• Lead the development of the DeFi yield vault solution and improve cross-chain interoperability for RWA.
• Manage third-party integrations, including KYC/AML and risk-analytics, and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Ensure QA and smart contract audits are performed to the highest standards.
• Update technical documentation and refine the whitepaper.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a CTO or in a technical leadership role within a FinTech/ blockchain startup.
• Expertise in blockchain and smart contract development, with experience in RWA preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of token standards, DeFi Vaults, and token issuance.
• Experience in financial marketplaces/ exchanges, asset management, fund management, or alternative assets is a strong plus.
• AI expertise and hands-on skills would be highly desirable.
