Title: Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Location: Fully Remote

Salary: $160,000 – $190,000 +Bonus

Responsibilities:

• Senior AWS DevOps Engineer working with a team of 3, responsible for supporting 5 software engineering teams that are building a suite of cutting edge SaaS applications.
• AWS Lamda Servless Enviornment needed.
• This position will play a lead role in building several AWS pipelines from scratch as well as improving pipeline that have already been developed.
• This company is using the most modern cloud orchestration tools and technologies available and is a cloud-native environment.
• This AWS DevOps Engineer is a key member of the DevOps Team, playing a critical role in securing their cloud infrastructure, increasing developer productivity and creating/managing deployment pipelines using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Monitor AWS environment for performance, security, and cost issues.
• Implement security measures, best practices, and policies in an AWS environment.
• Ensure AWS infrastructure complies with industry-standard security and compliance
• frameworks, including CIS, NIST, GDPR, and FEDRAMP.
• Set up comprehensive security auditing, monitoring, and incident response systems
• in AWS using services such as Amazon GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and CloudWatch.
• Review security logs and respond to incidents in an AWS environment.
• Improve developer productivity by automating processes.
• Troubleshoot problems and collaborate with other DevOps engineers.

Requirements:

• Work experience at a startup or technology company.
• 6+ years of experience securing, operating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS
• (Amazon Web Services) using infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).
• AWS Certifications (specifically DevOps Engineer Professional, Security Specialty
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Code Pipeline and Code Build.
• Knowledge of AWS security services and features, such as AWS Identity and Access
• Management (IAM), AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF), AWS Key Management
• Service (KMS), and AWS Security Hub.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience building and maintaining SaaS applications in the cloud.
• Knowledge of best practices for security and incident response.
• Experience deploying microservices in a cloud environment.
• Familiar with DataDog or other centralized logging solutions.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA).
