Senior Full Stack Engineer in INDIA

We are building the world’s most capable foundational models, allowing anyone to generate beautiful, cinematic and high-definition video in minutes.

We’re a small team of young & hungry researchers, and have raised over $30m from world class investors including Khosla Ventures & YCombinator. We released our first model two months ago, quickly becoming the fastest growing AI product on Discord since Midjourney with over 100,000 users in 6 weeks.

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer and the role is fully remote (preference will be given to India based candidates). Candidates outside these regions may apply but you will be required to relocate (we will offer a relocation package).

This role will require the candidate to time shift and work from 4pm to 1am IST to overlap with our North American team.

At Moonvalley, our product development process will be a bit non-standard and consist of small autonomous teams working to ship great features and experiences. Here is a good primer. You’ll work closely with your team (product designer, developers) daily, take ownership, make calls, and see things through without a lot of oversight.

What you'll do (responsibilities)

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll be will be involved in developing new features, while elevating and optimizing our current platform at Moonvalley. Reporting directly to our Founding Product Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Designing: participate in product design discussions and decisions
• Implementing: Write clean scalable system-oriented code and implement software/products aligned with the growing demands of our customers. Test, debug, support and enhance software as per product specifications
• Collaborating: Work with various teams to establish organizational best practices that scale with our team and products, consistently resulting in high-quality software systems that set industry standards
• Code Reviews: Enforce best practices, code guidelines and ensure code quality is up to standards and compliant
• Communicating: Inquire and communicate thoroughly about task details and descriptions to ensure tasks are fulfilled correctly. Share knowledge and thought leadership to the rest of the organization, including strategic technical direction as well as professional development opportunities

What we're looking for (qualifications)

The ideal candidate for this role should possess:

• 3+ years of hand-on development experience using JavaScript and Node.JS (or other back end languages), ideally in a fast paced product or gen AI company
• Experience using web frameworks like Vue.js and Angular
• Experience with integrating with common LLM / AI platforms
• Experience with SQL and Postgres relational database is a plus
• Experience with lean UI/UX, rapid customer innovation, and iterative design
• Consistency leveraging data and analytics to power design decisions
• Self-motivated, fast learner with attention to detail and quality
• Ability to leverage existing technology tools plus additionally research and apply new and experimental technologies to achieve product goals
• Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Proven ability to project and meet estimated deadline
