Network Engineer

Hays Solutions, a company of the multinational Hays group listed on the London Stock Exchange, offers consulting services aimed at identifying, understanding and achieving the concrete objectives of a business project in fields as IT, Engineering or Digital.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (+5 years) in a commercially aware IT Networks function with a focus on successful Network design, delivery and operational support

In-depth, expert knowledge in Cisco technologies, in particular:

• Cisco routing & switching
• Cisco Wireless
• Cisco ASA Firepower

Demonstrable experience of wider network ecosystem including:

• Security: Fortinet, Palo Alto
• Services: Infoblox DNS /DHCP (v4 & v6), AWS, RSA, ISE, Cisco Anyconnect
• Tools: Solarwinds, Splunk & Wireshark
• Technologies: IPv6, SD-WAN
• Experience of ITIL process, in particular Change Management with experience of preparing change, presenting and obtaining approval at CAB and driving successful delivery and closure of change activity

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Help define and document the EU office network design blueprint
• Analyse current office setups and develop a site-by-site plan to implement our defined standards
• Staging and preparation of LAN infrastructure for deployment at office locations
• Work closely with Local IS resource to implement plan in alignment with Change Management processes
• Document and handover to Operations
• Provide 3rd level support for operational issues as required

Key focus areas include:

• WAN connectivity – SD-WAN, MPLS, IPSec VPN
• Fixed LAN – Cisco Cat9K switches, model standardisation, software and config alignment
• Wireless – Cisco Cat9K WLC’s and AP’s, RF surveys, Ekahau planning tool, standard SSID deployment
• Native IPv6 deployment
• Secure Gateway – secure local internet breakout, multi v-sys Palo Alto firewall
