What You’ll Be Doing:

• Big Data System Design: Architect and implement scalable data systems using technologies like Apache Spark, Kafka, and MongoDB.
• Data Pipeline Development: Build and maintain data pipelines in a cloud environment (GCP or Azure).
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and steer the data engineering team, helping them navigate complex problems.
• Mentorship: Coach junior engineers on technical best practices and foster their growth within the team.
• Business Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions tailored to client needs.
• Innovation Projects: Work on cutting-edge projects involving real-time data streaming and large-scale data processing.

What You’ll Have:

• 5+ years of experience in Big Data Engineering.
• Proven proficiency with technologies like Apache Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud (BigQuery) or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of storage solutions like MongoDB, DeltaLake, Hive, and Parquet.
• Hands-on experience with Scala and SQL. Python and Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and solve complex data engineering challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, with Dutch being a nice-to-have.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
