Agency Account Manager (Remote)
- Salary Range: R15,000 - R25,000 (depending on experience/qualifications)
- Location: Fully remote
- Type: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm)
- Start Date: 1 October 2024
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 2-3+ years of experience working in a marketing/advertising agency within client services, account management, project management, or traffic management teams. (Not looking for interns, graduates, or candidates with no marketing agency experience).
- Solid skills with Google Suite (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Canva.
- Must be online and available within working hours via Slack and email. (Not for candidates who have multiple jobs and responsibilities on the side).
The Role: What You’ll Do
You’re the one who keeps the wheels turning. Your job is to take client briefs and turn them into actionable plans and tasks, making sure everything is done on time and up to standard. You'll manage the flow between strategists, designers, and videographers/editors, keeping everything on track. You’re also the client’s main point of contact, so you’ll need to keep them in the loop and happy!
80% of your time is spent managing internal workflows, checking in with teams, and ensuring project timelines are met. The remaining 20% will involve client communication, keeping clients updated, and ensuring their expectations are managed throughout the project lifecycle.
You’ll own your role and space in the team, and report to the Head of Client Services and Founder of DISRUPT.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Project Management & Coordination:
- Brief and debrief projects to the internal team, making sure the client’s goals are crystal clear.
- Keep project statuses updated and ensure tasks move smoothly through the system.
- Review assets before they go to the client – nothing leaves without your stamp of approval!
- Manage content calendars and timelines to ensure all deliverables are high-quality and delivered on time (no delays, no drama).
- Communicate daily with internal teams to monitor progress and handle any bumps in the road.
- Get those social media posts live on client accounts like a pro! (Publishing).
Client Communication & Relationship Management:
- Keep clients in the loop at every step so they know their project is in good hands.
- Help with client meetings, prepping materials, and reports.
- Handle client feedback with finesse, working with the internal team to make revisions (and keeping those revisions to a minimum!).
- Build strong relationships with clients – they should feel supported and know they’re in safe hands with you.
Monthly Reporting:
- Analyse content performance and find out what’s working (and what’s not).
- Prepare insightful monthly reports for clients that give them a clear picture of their social media performance.
Qualities We’re Looking For:
- Solid track record in project management or account management.
- Super organised and have an eye for detail.
- Juggle multiple projects at once – our projects move fast (weekly cycles), and you’re all about keeping up!
- Great communicator (both written and verbal) – you know how to get your point across.
- Absolute team player–you love working with people to get the best results.
- You’ve got a positive, can-do attitude, and you’re truly passionate about digital marketing and social media.
