About The Job
Join our Deployment & Kubernetes Team and be a driving force behind our mission to ignite innovation and drive excellence. As a valued member of our Deployment & Kubernetes Team, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, working collaboratively to design, create, and optimize the Kubernetes architecture of both product and the underlying platform, ensuring both align with industry standards and leverage the latest technologies. Your contributions will ensure our platform not only meets but exceeds industry standards, embraces the latest technologies to maintain our competitive edge, and ensures our platform stands out in terms of performance, scalability, and reliability, setting a new benchmark for excellence.
As a Software Developer, You Will
- Designs and develops high quality, testable and scalable software solutions within established timelines while adhering to R&D best practices and processes.
- Ensures quality through functional, unit and performance testing. Work closely with testing by providing thorough reviews of the test plan and communicate when updates to the plan should be made to cover code changes related to enhancements, redesigns and/or bug fixes.
- Maintains accountability for the entire life cycle of the code including support for both internal and external consumers.
- In collaboration with technical writers, authors appropriate level of design and technical documentation that satisfies both internal and external consumers.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development/programming experience
- 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related quantitative field
- An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Golang development experience
- Java development experience
- Experience with managing GitHub repositories and GitHub Workflows
- Experience with Docker architecture and associated tools.
- Experience with Kubernetes manifest files and docker files.
- Experience with designing products using the Kubernetes Resource Model (KRM)
- Experience with the Kubernetes Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
- Experience with contributing back to the open source community
