G-NIUS are currently partnering with an IT consultancy based in Muscat, Oman. We are keen to speak with Web Software developers who are open to relating to Oman.
This role sits within their application development team. Supporting large commercial clients, within the Oil and Gas industry, you will be responsible for gathering requirements and building in house applications.
Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and manage software programs
* Test and evaluate new software programs to ensure they meet requirements
* Write and implement efficient, scalable, and maintainable code
* Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
* Document software designs, development processes, and test plans
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
* Troubleshoot and debug software issues
* Design, code, test, and debug complex web applications.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
* Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
* Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize
development efficiency.
* Lead and mentor junior developers.
* Participate in software architecture and design decisions.
* Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
* Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
* Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Requirements:
* B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field; higher degrees are a plus
* 10-12 years of experience in Software Development
* Proficient in .NET (C#), JavaScript.
* Experience with ASP.NET MVC and Entity Framework
* Proficient in version control systems such as Git, and familiar with Visual Studio
* Experience with Azure DevOps
* Familiarity with scripting languages, particularly PowerShell, is a plus
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to document code and processes clearly
* Proven software development experience and skills.
* Strong knowledge of software architecture and design.
* Experience with databases and SQL.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.

* Experience leading and mentoring junior developers.
