Responsibilities

Growing our social media community across multi platforms, including Tiktok, is a key focus for us and we’re looking for someone that is social media savvy and interested in keeping up with the latest trends. We’re in a try and test phase here so would love to bring someone on that is confident to share new ideas and suggestions and bring something new and innovative to our team. 

A creative flair and eye for detail will be key for this role as you will take the lead in content design to support the social media strategy and the wider marketing team. This would ideally be supported by an interest in organic video and photography to help us expand our organic content database and grow our presence on Tiktok.

You will have social media marketing and content creation experience and proactively engage across multiple social channels.

• You will build the social media content calendar, coming up with creative, exciting and engaging trend-led content ideas that will help grow our brand presence and online communities across multiple platforms including Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, and Linkedin.
• Understanding the brand voice and curly hair community on social media and proactively engaging with our feed and replying to tagged interactions and DM’s to build conversation
• Jumping on live streams to promote the brand and chat with the community.
• Concepting, filming, editing content for social media channels Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
• Posting content onto social media channels
• Prompting engagement through caption writing and story posts
• Identifying social media trends quickly and applying them to our brand/channels/content
• Analyzing insights on social media platforms to make informed decisions to increase engagement and reach (Best days/times to post, what hooks increase watch time, which captions led to more profile clicks, etc.)

Required Experience

• 3+ years in-house or agency experience in social media for a beauty/haircare brand
• You are comfortable in front and behind the camera and have a strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook.
• You are customer focussed and have a natural ability to build relationships with our customers and influencers
• Excellent communication skills that are aligned to the brands tone of voice
• Strong knowledge of social media best practices
• Have an understanding of the curly hair space
• Have strong knowledge of all social channels’ workings with particular reference to TikTok, Facebook and Instagram
• Have a positive, proactive, forward thinking and self-starting always-on attitude
• Strong editing skills on capcut (adobe creative suite a bonus)
• Be able to travel and be flexible.
• Be able to adapt in agile and constantly changing start up environment.
• Highly organised
