📍 Location: Fully Remote
As an Indie Game Developer in our studio, you’ll be a key part of bringing our creative visions to life, whether through gameplay programming, art, design, or other areas of expertise. We are looking for passionate developers who thrive in collaborative environments and are excited to leave their mark on the gaming industry. Whether you're a programmer, artist, or specialist, your contributions will help shape the games we create.
Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities (Depending on Expertise):
- Programming: Develop and implement core game mechanics, systems, and tools to ensure smooth and engaging gameplay.
- Art and Animation: Create and bring to life characters, environments, UI, and other visual elements that define the look and feel of the game.
- Design and Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, artists, and designers to create a cohesive and compelling game experience.
- Optimization: Ensure that our games run efficiently across platforms, balancing performance with quality.
- Prototyping: Rapidly iterate on gameplay or visual concepts, turning ideas into playable or visible demos.
- Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot challenges in your area of expertise to ensure the game delivers a polished experience.
- Stay Current: Research and integrate the latest tools, technologies, and industry trends to keep our games innovative.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in your field, with a portfolio of completed projects (either games or relevant work).
- For programmers: Proficiency in C#, C++, or similar languages, with experience in engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
- For artists: Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Photoshop, Blender, Maya, or others) and a strong portfolio of game or animation work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute creatively to the game development process.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the drive to work in a collaborative, creative environment.
- A passion for video games and an understanding of what makes them fun and engaging.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience developing for multiple platforms (PC, Console, Mobile).
- Knowledge of specific disciplines like graphics programming, shader development, UI/UX design, or audio design.
- Prior experience in the indie game development scene.
- Background in VR/AR game development or other emerging technologies
