Software Engineer in AUSTRALIA

Tesserent Research, Architecture, and Development (RAD) is seeking an enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our awesome team. You will be working on SaaS products built and owned by Tesserent as well as bespoke software projects for our clients. We are looking for self-starters with excellent communication skills, possessing a desire to learn, and who enjoy a wide range of technical challenges.

We are hiring for both frontend and backend roles, and we also welcome candidates who consider themselves to be full-stack engineers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop new software features to meet documented requirements
• Track work in issue tracker
• Work closely with team members on bugs, new features, & code reviews
• Produce team and client documentation

CORE COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrated high-level proficiency with Python, Django, and SQL for backend roles
• Demonstrated high-level proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React for frontend roles
• Strong understanding of fundamentals such as Linux and Git
• Experience with unit testing frameworks
• Good verbal and written communication skills

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience with CI/CD, Ansible, and/or Docker
• Experience with Android or iOS app development
• Experience with other languages such as Bash, Java, C#, and Typescript
• Personal GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket profile to demonstrate applicable skills
• Experience with agile development methodologies
