Java Software Engineer

Hiring for a global leading financial institute based in Glasgow who apply a systematic approach to investment management, which is heavily reliant on technology. They are seeking 10 hires this quarter in to their core engineering team ranging in seniority from mid level to senior.

The day to day role will require you to design and develop an enterprise level security and risk technology; hands-on development using Java 8, multi-threading/low-latency paradigms along with J2EE technologies like Spring representational state transfer (REST) application programming interfaces (APIs) and messaging APIs involving Solace and Kafka

Requirements:

• 4+ years professional experience with Java
• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline
• Experience with multi threading
• IAM engineering experience, authentication, authorisation, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, user lifecycle management, hands on CI/CD approaches and technologies
• 4+ years experience as a software Engineer/Developer
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud component and services integration
• Problem-Solving Attitude: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges. Willingness to dive into complex problems and find innovative solutions.
• Will need to be in the office at least twice a week.
