Functional Analyst with data expertise (relocation to Brussels, Belgium) in PORTUGAL

We are seeking a talented Functional Analyst with data expertise willing to relocate to or currently located in Brussels, Belgium.

This position requires expertise in functional analysis with a keen focus on data-related projects. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of SQL and data modeling, and experience with workflow automation tools like Airflow. This role involves analyzing and improving data systems and processes to support business decisions without venturing into data engineering or visualization.

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and System Improvements:

• Conduct thorough functional analysis to identify and define business requirements for data-centric projects.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and scripts to facilitate effective data management and retrieval.
• Design and implement robust data models to support the organization's needs.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to refine and improve data workflows and systems.

Workflow Automation and Development Support:

• Utilize Airflow to automate data workflows, ensuring efficient and reliable data operations.
• Support development teams by providing insights and specifications for integrating Angular in data-driven applications (as applicable).

Documentation and Compliance:

• Produce clear and detailed documentation related to data systems and processes.
• Ensure all data practices comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Team Collaboration and Leadership:

• Work closely with various stakeholders, including IT teams, project managers, and external vendors, to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on data management best practices and problem-solving.

Key Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in functional analysis with a strong focus on data-related projects.
• Proven experience in functional analysis, particularly within data management contexts.
• Strong proficiency in writing SQL and designing data models.
• Practical experience with Airflow for data workflow automation is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Angular or other front-end technologies is a plus but not required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with fluency in English; French is advantageous.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
