Information Technology Generalist in CANADA

Our client who operates multiple businesses across Manitoba is looking to onboard an IT Generalist/ Systems Administrator to be the main point of contact for any IT related issues and initiatives. Our client is looking to hire an IT Generalist that can help them move their IT practice in-house and away from the MSP who currently supports them to support 9 employees across all the companies and their external clients.

****This is a 100% remote position****

What you will be doing:

• Lead the transition from a Managed Service Provider (MSP) to an in-house IT model, ensuring a seamless migration of services and IT operations continuity.
• Establish a cloud-based environment for hosting the company’s applications and supporting daily operations.
• Administer IT systems like servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Offer hands-on IT support for employees across multiple businesses, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Manage enterprise applications, especially SAGE 300, ensuring smooth operations and updates.

Why we are excited about you:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT Generalist/ Systems Administrator, supporting an organizations overall IT needs and being the main POC for IT issues.
• You are an excellent communicator, and have experience working with non-technical users.
• You have proven experience setting up and managing cloud environments, including platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and managing server infrastructure.
• Experience with SAGE 300 or similar accounting ERP applications.
