We are seeking a Senior/Principal Game Systems Designer to join an established and innovative game studio, focused on delivering engaging free-to-play (F2P) titles. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and optimizing game systems and economies that enhance both player retention and monetization.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop game systems, balancing mechanics, progression, and pacing to create engaging player experiences.
Manage and optimize game economies, including virtual currencies, rewards, and in-game purchases, ensuring a balance between fun and monetization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement game systems that align with business objectives and player behavior.
Conduct data-driven analysis to refine systems and economies, improving player retention and monetization strategies.
Take ownership of the game progression design, ensuring the player experience is smooth and incentivized.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in game systems design, preferably with F2P games.
Strong knowledge of game economy design, including monetization strategies and virtual goods models.
Proven ability to balance complex game systems and optimize for player retention and business performance.
Experience with game engines such as Unity or similar tools.
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to design and iteration.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
